A.        Personnel

 

                        1.  Voice Vote

 

                  The administration recommends the Board approve the following:

 

                        a.   19-262 - Resignation of Kim Demyan, for the purpose of superannuated retirement, from the position of 12 Month Secretary at the Middle School, effective the end of the day September 6, 2019.

 

                        b.   19-269 – Additions and deletions to the Substitute Listing for the 2018-2019 school year.

 

                        c.   19-270 – Revised Master District Volunteer List for the 2018-19 school year.

 

                             

                        2.  Roll Call Vote

 

                        The administration recommends the Board approve the following:

 

                        a.   19-263 - Summer School Instructors and their reimbursement based on the current Supplemental Reimbursement for Extra Services - Curriculum and Instruction.  Effective dates for the program will be June 24, 2019, through August 1, 2019.

 

                        b.   19-264 - Joshua May, TPE Special Education Learning Support Teacher at the Middle School, effective August 19, 2019, pending receipt of proper documentation.  His salary will be $55,903.00, with benefits, based on a Master’s degree and Step 1, per the Collective Bargaining Agreement between NASD and NAEA.

 

                        c.   19-266 - Crystal Becker, TPE School Counselor at the Middle School, effective August 19, 2019.  Her salary will be $56,812.00, with benefits, based on a Master’s degree and Step 2, per the Collective Bargaining Agreement between NASD and NAEA.

 

                        d.   19-267 - A one (1) year contract for Ricky Knecht as a School Police Officer for the Northampton Area School District Police Department for the 2019-2020 school year.  His salary will be $42,000.00 plus benefits.

 

                        e.   19-272 – List of teachers and 1:1 Instructional Assistants to provide Extended School Year (ESY) and Chapter 15/Section 504 Services for the summer 2019.

 

 

            B.        Policy

 

                        The administration recommends the Board approve the following:

 

                        1.   19-253R – Adoption of the following revised policies, effective May 21, 2019:  247 – Hazing and 249.1 – Anti-Bullying

 

 

            C.        Facilities

 

                        The administration recommends the Board approve the following:

 

                        1.   19-273 - A new three (3) year service agreement to Oliver Fire Protection of King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, with a 0% to test and inspect the fire protection sprinkler systems at Franklin Elementary, Colonel John Siegfried Elementary, Washington, Middle School and High School at the following costs:

                        The administration recommends the Board approve the following:

 

                        1.   19-258 – Alternate method of billing and payment with Northampton Community College for the 2019-20 fiscal year.

 

                        2.   19-261 - Authorize Administration to pay final invoices applicable to the 2018-2019 fiscal year and to make necessary budget transfers to close the fiscal year in conjunction with Gorman and Associates, P.C.

 

                        3.   19-268 – Tax Exonerations/Changes.

 

                        4.   19-274 – Treasurer’s Report.

 

                        5.   19-276 – Bills for Payment.

 

 

E.        Miscellaneous

 

                        The administration recommends the Board approve the following:

 

                        1.   19-257 – Expulsion Hearing Waiver for student number 2018-09.

 

                        2.   19-260 – Appoint _____________________, _________________________, and ______________________, as the Board voting delegates to participate in the PSBA Delegate Assembly to be held on Friday, October 18, 2019, in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

 

                        3.   19-271 – Expulsion Hearing Waiver for student number 2018-10.
