Special Board Meeting of August 11, 2003

The Board approved the following:

ö      Resignation of Christopher A. Gerhard from the positions of special education teacher and freshman class advisor at the senior high school, effective immediately.

ö      Anne-Sophie Tzanetatos as a TPE French teacher at the senior high school, effective for the 2003-04 school year.  Her salary will be $42,600.00, with benefits and is based on a MA+45 Degree and Step 3 and Year 3 of the current Salary Schedule.

ö      Robin Hart as a Half-Time PE guidance counselor in the Borough effective for the 2003-04 school year pending receipt of updated clearances.  Her salary will be $25,100.00 (1/2 of $50,200.00), with benefits and is based on a MA+45 Degree and Step 9 and Year 12 of the current Salary Schedule.

ö      Terry B. “Teko” Johnson as a PE special education teacher at the senior high school effective for the 2003-04 school year.  His salary will be $46,900.00, with benefits and is based on a BA+15 Degree and Step 10 and Year 13 of the current Salary Schedule.

ö      Lisa M. Hohenshilt as a TPE social studies teacher at the senior high school, effective for the 2003-04 school year.  Her salary will be $37,500.00, with benefits and is based on a BA Degree and Step 1 Year 1 of the current Salary Schedule. 

ö      Brian E. Miller as a TPE physical education teacher at the middle school, effective for the 2003-04 school year.  Annual salary will be $37, 600.00, with benefits and is based on a BA degree and Step 1 Year 1.5 of the current salary schedule of the collective bargaining agreement.

ö      Robert J. Tugend as a TPE Social Studies Teacher at the Senior High School, effective for the 2003-04 school year pending receipt of updated clearances.  His salary will be $41,300.00, with benefits and is based on a MA Degree and Step 4 Year 4 of the current Salary Schedule.

ö      Beth Donnelly as a TPE Full Time Business teacher at the senior high school, effective for the 2003-04 school year.  Her salary will be $41,100.00, with benefits and is based on Step 3 – Year 3 of the Master’s column of the current collective bargaining agreement.

ö      Michelle Hamm as a TPE full time math teacher at the senior high school, effective for the 2003-04 school year.  Her salary will be $38,500.00, with benefits and is based on Step 2 – Year 2 of the Bachelor’s +15 column of the current collective bargaining agreement.

ö      Leanne Tatasciore as a TPE Full Time English teacher at the senior high school, effective for the 2003-04 school year.  Her salary will be $38,300.00, with benefits and is based on Step 1 – Year 1 of the Bachelor’s +15 column of the current collective bargaining agreement.

ö      Resignation of Diane Wachter, social studies teacher at the middle school, effective as soon as possible, but no longer than sixty (60) days from this date.

ö      Joseph Nester as a LTS social studies teacher at the middle school, effective for the first semester of the 2003-04 school year, pending receipt of updated clearances.  His salary will be $37,500.00, pro-rated, with benefits and is based on a BA Degree and Step 1 Year 1 of the current Salary Schedule.

ö      The following change orders for Deco Management at the HS Stadium: #4 - Sod - $5,000; #5 - Fencing - $16,000.

ö      Authorization for D’Huy Engineering to design and receive estimates to replace the Middle School chiller/cooling tower.
