At the regular meeting of the Board of Education, the Board approved the following:

 

         Master Substitute Listings for the 2011-2012 school year.

         Resignation of Mark Lesko, One-on-One Instructional Assistant, effective August 22, 2011.

         Childbearing/childrearing leave for Jennifer Adams, Grade 5 teacher at Lehigh Elementary School, for the period beginning on or about October 27, 2011, to January 20, 2012, with a return date of January 23, 2012.

         Listing of Athletic Event Staff for the 2011-2012 school year, effective July 1, 2011, through June 30, 2012.

         Resignation of Heather Thomas, Special Education Instructional Assistant, effective August 10, 2011.

         Listing of Athletic Volunteer Coaches for the 2011-2012 school year.

         Master District Volunteer Listing for the 2011-2012 school year.

         Leave of absence under FMLA entitlements to include benefits but no salary, for the purpose of childbearing/childrearing, beginning August 29, 2011, through November 18, 2011, for Danielle Schaffer.

         Listing of Short Term (72 Day) Elementary Reading Substitute Teachers for the 2011-2012 school year.  The daily substitute rate will be $125.00 per day, no benefits.

         Robert Edwards, Temporary One-to-One Special Education Instructional Assistant at the High School, effective August 29, 2011His rate of pay will be $10.12 per hour for the first twelve (12) pays and $10.53 per hour for the remaining 14 pays, with benefits, in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.

         District Coordinators and compensation, effective July 1, 2011, through June 30, 2012.

         Listing of assistant coaches and stipends for the 2011-2012 school year, effective July 1, 2011, through June 30, 2012, for the noted sport season.

         Retroactive approval for Lynne Olsen for a maximum of five and one-half (5 Ĺ)  hours at the rate of $12.02 per hour to provide services to three (3) seventh grade students for Middle School Orientation on Wednesday, August 17 and Thursday, August 18, 2011.

         Melissa Giacometti, 10-Month School Psychologist, effective August 24, 2011.  Salary will be $51,540.00, with benefits, and in accordance with the Act 93 Agreement.

         Listing of Extra-Curricular and Supplemental Positions for the 2011-2012 school year, effective July 1, 2011, through June 30, 2012.

         Listing of Reimbursement Rates for Athletic Events for the 2011-12 school year, effective July 1, 2011, through June 30, 2012.

         Katie Biechy as a short-term substitute teacher for the period of August 29, 2011, to November 18, 2011, at a daily rate of $125.00, no benefits.

         Listing of Traffic Duty Monitors and hourly rates, at all district buildings, effective September 1, 2011, through the end of the last student day of the 2011-12 school year.

         Douglas Boyer as a long term substitute Social Studies teacher at NAHS, effective August 29, 2011, for the 2011-12 school year.  Salary will be $44,685.62, based on a BA degree and Step 1, with benefits.

         Adoption of the following revised policies, effective August 23, 2011: 207 - Confidential Communication of Students, 216 - Student Records, and 216.1 - Supplemental Discipline Records.  Deletion of the following policy, effective August 23, 2011:  412.1 (4:12) - Observation/Evaluation of Substitute Teachers.

         Three (3) year service agreement with ThyssenKrupp Elevator Corporation of Allentown, PA, for the elevator at Col. John Siegfried Elementary School.  The service agreement is at an annual fee of $504.00 from the term of October 1, 2011, through September 30, 2014.

         Three (3) year service agreement with ThyssenKrupp Elevator Corporation of Allentown, PA, to service the 3 elevators at the High School.  The service agreement is at an annual fee of $1,500.00 for the term of October 1, 2011, through September 30, 2014.

         Tax Exonerations.

         Acceptance of the 2010-11 Earned Income Tax Audit Report, as prepared by local auditors Gorman & Associates.

         Law Enforcement Liability Insurance coverage by Scottsdale Insurance Company at a cost of $8,447.31 for the period of September 5, 2011, to September 5, 2012.
