At the regular meeting of the Board of Education, the Board approved the following:

 

·      List of professional staff transfers effective with the 2010-2011 school year.

·      Resignation of Lucille Loy, Accounting Assistant, for the purpose of retirement, effective at the end of the day, February 1, 2011.

·      Updated job description for the following position: Accounting Assistant.

·      Lindsey Santanasto as a LTS English Teacher at the High School, effective August 27, 2010, for the first semester of the 2010-2011 school year.  Her salary will be $44,156.00, prorated with benefits, based on a BA degree and Step 1, Year 1 of the current salary schedule. 

·      Sean Pyne as a TPE Mathematics Teacher at Washington’s Crossing, effective August 27, 2010.  His salary will be $44,319.00, with benefits, based on a BA degree and Step 2, Year 2 of the 2010-2011 salary schedule.  

·      Rachel Fisher as a TPE Mathematics Extensions Teacher at the Middle School, effective August 27, 2010.  Her salary will be $47,879.00, with benefits, based on a MA degree and Step 2, Year 2 of the 2010-2011 salary schedule. 

·      Meghan Starr as the school psychologist intern at a cost of $10,000.00 plus compensation for mileage at the IRS rate to be paid completely out of Federal IDEA Stimulus Monies for the 2010-2011 school year.

·      Termination of Dawn Peipher, a temporary professional employee certified in Health and Physical Education K-12, effective August 26, 2010, with health benefits paid through August 31, 2010.  The termination is subject to the employee’s right to demand a Board hearing by July 19, 2010.  Failure to demand a hearing will be deemed to be a waiver of the right to a hearing upon demand and the Board’s action taken on July 12, 2010, will become final without further action by the Board.

·      Termination of Amanda Rogers, temporary professional employee certified in Art Education K-12, effective August 26, 2010, with health benefits paid through August 31, 2010.  The termination is subject to the employee’s right to demand a Board hearing by July 19, 2010.  Failure to demand a hearing will be deemed to be a waiver of the right to a hearing upon demand and the Board’s action taken on July 12, 2010, will become final without further action by the Board.

·      Voluntary transfer of Thomas Schoeneberger from Semi-Skilled Maintenance to Middle Shift Skilled Maintenance, effective August 6, 2010.  His rate of pay will be $23.67 per hour, 100% of the current hourly rate, in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement, with benefits. 

·      Eric Ihling as a LTS Math Teacher at the Middle School, effective August 27, 2010, for the 2010-2011 school year.  His salary will be $44,156.00, with benefits, based on a BA degree and Step 1, Year 1 of the current salary schedule. 

·      Christopher Erdo as a LTS Physical Science Teacher at the High School, effective August 27, 2010, for the 2010-2011 school year.  His salary will be $47,657.00, with benefits, based on a MA degree and Step 1, Year 1 of the current salary schedule. 

·      Heather Apostolopoulos as a TPE English Teacher at Washington’s Crossing, effective August 27, 2010.  Her salary will be $45,119.00, with benefits, based on a BA +15 degree and Step 2, Year 2 of the 2010-2011 salary schedule.  

·      Textbook Adoptions for the 2010-2011 School Year for a total cost of $57,988.10.  All textbook costs are included in the Board approved 2010-11 curriculum budget.

·      Authorization for Administration to submit PDE-3074 - Self Certification Application for Non- Reimbursable Construction Projects for the Replacement of the Water Heater & Installation of a Water Softener at the Moore Elementary School.

·      Three (3) year fire alarm monitoring agreement for the High School with Communication System, Inc. at an annual cost of $384.00, effective August 24, 2010, through August 23, 2013.

·      Three (3) year service agreement with Communication Systems, Inc. for the High School fire alarm system in the amount of $1,980.00 annually, effective July 1, 2010, through June 30, 2013.

·      Five (5) year service contract with Otis Elevator for the period July 1, 2010 - June 30, 2015, at an annual cost of $2,040.  (The annual price will be adjusted on the effective date of any labor rate adjustment under Otis’s contract with the International Union of Elevator Constructors (IUEC Contract) to reflect increases or decreases in material and labor costs.  Otis Elevator has applied a special provision for the annual contract not to exceed a 5% price escalation fee per year.)

·      Bills for Payment.

·      Adjudication report for student #2010-09.
