THE MORNING AFTER
At the regular meeting of the Board of
Education, the Board approved the following:
- Participation of Ms.
Lauren Anderson and Ms. Kimberly Levin to accompany Northampton High School
students to Quebec on June 20-24, 2011. There will be no cost to the
- Resignation of Terrence
Murphy, for the purpose of retirement, effective upon the completion of a
half work day on January 4, 2011.
- Resignation of Suzanne
Brignole, Mathematics Teacher at the High School for the purpose of
retirement, effective December 5, 2010, or as soon as possible.
- Additions and Deletions
to Substitute List.
- Ms. Anita Mateyak,
advisor of the Northampton FBLA Club, and Dr. Kenneth Cressman, Diversified
Occupations Coordinator, to attend and chaperone four FBLA student members to
the Penn State PA FBLA Leadership Workshop on October 24 and 25, 2010. Cost to
the district is $253.08.
- Instructors and
compensation to conduct after-school remediation under the EAP Grant
guidelines. The effective date is October 26, 2010, through March 31, 2011.
- Terry Leh to attend the
annual PASBO Conference in Pittsburgh, PA, from March 16, 2011, through March
18, 2011, at an approximate cost of $759.00.
- Kristen Frailey, LTS
Special Education Teacher for the Middle School Extensions Program, effective
October 12, 2010, to on or about June 7, 2011, pending receipt of
acceptable Act 151 clearance. Her
annual salary will be $44,156.00, pro-rated with benefits, based on a
Bachelorís degree and Step 1, Year 1 of the current salary schedule.
- Bills for Payment.
- Prepare and solicit
annual bids for the following services and supplies: Maintenance/ Custodian
Supplies, Instructional/ General Supplies, Athletic Supplies, Gasoline/
Diesel, and Fuel Oil/ Natural Gas for FY2011-12.
- Berkheimer Outsourcing,
Inc., Bangor, to prepare and mail the homestead applications on behalf of
Northampton Area School District in accordance with Act 72 of 2004 and Act 1
of 2006 at a rate of $0.278 each in accordance with the attached proposal.
- 2010-2011 Budget
- Donated use of the
Middle School and High School cafeterias and gymnasiums by the Northampton
Area School District for the Dakota C. Galusha Memorial Fund Third Annual
Basketball Tournament on March 12-13, 2011, from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
- Formation of the George
Wolf Elementary School Ski and Snowboard Club at no cost to the District.
- Expulsion Hearing Waiver
for High School student number 2010-11.
