At the regular meeting of the Board of Education, the Board approved the following:
∑ Professional status and tenure for the following two teachers who have completed three years of teaching and have received six satisfactory evaluations:

Alison Kowalick Ė High School
∑ Correction of the hiring of Michael Papay, to be a TPE Special Education Teacher at the Middle School. His first date of employment was November 23, 2009.
∑ The following job descriptions, effective January 25, 2011: Supervisor for School Psychological Services and School Psychologist.
∑ The following additions to the District Volunteer master listing for the 2010-2011 school year:

∑ Additions and deletions to the Substitute List.
∑ Revised list of teachers (one teacher added) for the elementary after school math program from January 18, 2011, to March, 10, 2011, at the appropriate contracted curriculum rate.
∑ Jamie Rockwell, LTS Special Education Teacher at George Wolf Elementary, effective on or about January 24, 2011, through the end of the 2010-2011 school year. Her salary will be $44,156.00, pro-rated, with benefits, based on a Bachelorís degree and Step 1, Year 1 of the current salary schedule.
∑ Tara Mrazik to receive an additional 50% to her stipend as Business Dept Chair, as per the NAEA contract. The 2010-11 total stipend will be $2,802.00, with no additional benefits.
∑ Correction to the stipend for Science Dept Chair, as per the NAEA contract, for Mr. Glenn Young. The correct 2010-11 stipend should be $2,229.00, with no additional benefits.
∑ Attendance of Joseph Kovalchik at the 2011 CIU20 Superintendent Legislative Workshop on March 3-4, 2011, at The Hilton Hotel in Harrisburg at a cost not to exceed $350.00.
∑ JoAnn Welsko, LTS English Teacher at the High School, effective retroactive to December 6, 2010, through the remainder of the 2010-2011 school year. Her annual salary will be $47,657.00, pro-rated with benefits, based on a Masterís degree and Step 1, Year 1 of the current salary schedule.
∑ Attendance of Nicole Tucker at the Reading Apprenticeship Annual Winter Conference in Lafayette Hill, PA, on March 3-8, 2011, at an estimated cost of $974.00 to be paid out of Federal Stimulus Monies with no cost to the District.
∑ Adoption of the following revised policy, effective January 25, 2011: Policy 126 Ė Class Size.
∑ Raymond C. Geiger Real Estate to perform the appraisal of the Northampton Campus of the Bethlehem Vocational School located at 1417 Laubach Avenue, Northampton, PA 18067 at a cost of $2,000.
∑ Completion and signing of the Form W-9 and the signing of the Grant of Right of Way by the officers of the Board of School Directors.
∑ Treasurerís Report
∑ The resolution relating to Act 1 certifying that the Board shall not increase any tax at a rate that exceeds the 1.7% index as calculated by the Pennsylvania Department of Education for the 2011-12 fiscal year.
∑ 2009-10 Fund Balance amounts and classifications:
A. $470,464 for Inventory and $154,469 for PrePaid Expenses as Nonspendable
Fund Balance Reserves.
B. $1,477,652 for future PSERS spikes and $385,394 for a new Middle School
As Committed Fund Balance Reserves.
