·        Resignation of Stacei Faust, Special Education Instructional Assistant, August 23, 2011.

·        Resignation of Matthew Lloyd, special education instructional assistant, effective August 23, 2011.

·        Updated job descriptions for the following positions:  Cafeteria Monitor, Health Room, Instructional Assistants:  Regular Education, Title I, Special Education, One-to-One, Gifted, Elementary Library, and Secondary Library.

·        Resignation of William Laky, 3rd shift custodian, effective the end of the day August 26, 2011.

·        FMLA leave of absence for Wendy Clemons beginning September 27, 2011, through November 7, 2011.

·        Unpaid leave of absence for Nancy Stover, beginning September 6, 2011.

·        Resignation of Dana Fentiman, Student Council Advisor, at George Wolf Elementary, effective September 2, 2011.

·        Additions and deletions to the Substitute List.

·        Tina Ventresca as a short-term substitute teacher for the period of October 27, 2011, through January 20, 2012, at a daily rate of $125.00, no benefits.

·        Traci Gensits, Temporary One-to-One Special Education Instructional Assistant at Moore Elementary, effective August 29, 2011, for the 2011-2012 school year.  Her rate of pay will be $10.12 per hour for the next eleven (11) pays and $10.53 per hour for the remaining 14 pays, with benefits, in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

·        Listing of staff and compensation rates for After-School Detention at the High School and Middle School for the 2011-2012 school year (September through the end of the academic year in June).  No additional benefits will be provided.

·        Patrick Haftl, Temporary One-to-One Special Education Instructional Assistant at the Middle School, effective September 6, 2011.  His rate of pay will be $10.12 per hour for the next eleven (11) pays and $10.53 per hour for the remaining 14 pays, with benefits, in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

·        One position for Temporary Kindergarten/One-to-One Instructional Assistant at Franklin Elementary, effective August 31, 2011, for the 2011-12 school year.  The rate of pay will be $10.12 per hour for the first eleven (11) pays and $10.53 per hour for the remaining 14 pays, with benefits, if hiring occurs prior to September 30, 2011, in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

·        Ann Reinhard, Temporary Kindergarten/One-to-One Instructional Assistant at Franklin Elementary, effective August 31, 2011, for the 2011-12 school year.  Her rate of pay will be $10.12 per hour for the next eleven (11) pays and $10.53 per hour for the remaining 14 pays, with benefits, in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

·        Monica Leonhardt, Special Education Instructional Assistant at the Middle School, effective September 6, 2011.  Continued employment is contingent upon receipt of all updated clearances.  Her rate of pay will be $10.12 per hour for the next eleven (11) pays and $10.53 per hour for the remaining 14 pays, with benefits, in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

·        Kristen Motsko, Special Education Instructional Assistant at the Middle School, effective September 6, 2011.  Her rate of pay will be $10.12 per hour for the next eleven (11) pays and $10.53 per hour for the remaining 14 pays, with benefits, in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

·        Mary Bridget Martin, Temporary One-to-One Instructional Assistant at the High School, effective September 6, 2011, for the 2011-12 school year.  Continued employment is contingent upon receipt of all updated clearances.  Her rate of pay will be $10.12 per hour for the next eleven (11) pays and $10.53 per hour for the remaining 14 pays, with benefits, in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

·        Amended pay rate for Instructional Assistant Substitutes from 60% of the basic pay rate to 80% of the basic pay rate, $10.12 per hour for the first eleven pays of the 2011-2012 school year, and $10.53 per hour through the end of the 2011-2012 school year effective August 29, 2011.

·        Mr. Mertz, Ms. Hock, and eighteen (18) students to attend/participate in the 2012 Disney Magic Music Days in Orlando, Florida, from March 3, 2012, through March 7, 2012.  Total cost to district will be $1,800.00.  This amount was included in the 2011-2012 Curriculum budget.

·        Temporary transfer for Linda Reed, as a one-to-one special education instructional assistant substitute for the 2011-12 school year, effective September 6, 2011.  Her rate of pay will be frozen at $10.12 per hour for the next eleven (11) pays and increase to $11.19 per hour for the remaining 14 pays, in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

·        The following staff and their stipends for the 2011-12 school year:

                                      Diane Lloyd – Athletic Event Staff Ticket Collector - $42.00 per event

                                      Tiffany Nagy – Assistant Cheerleading Coach - $2,156 (75% of $2,874)

·        One position for a Temporary Kindergarten/One-to-One Instructional Assistant at Franklin Elementary, and one position for a One-to-One Instructional Assistant at Moore Elementary effective August 31, 2011, for the 2011-2012 school year.  The rate of pay will be $10.12 per hour for the next eleven (11) pays and $10.53 per hour for the remaining 14 pays, with benefits, if hiring is for an entire year and occurs prior to September 30, 2011, in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

·        One position for a Temporary Kindergarten/One-to-One Instructional Assistant at Franklin Elementary, effective August 31, 2011, for the 2011-2012 school year.  The rate of pay will be $10.12 per hour for the next eleven (11) pays and $10.53 per hour for the remaining 14 pays, with benefits, if hiring is for entire year and occurs prior to September 30, 2011, in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

·        Mentor and payment for the 2011-2012 school year.

·        Participation of Mrs. April Krempasky and Mrs. Theresa Wenck in the 2012 German American Partnership Program to accompany approximately 20 students to Germany for the exchange visit as well as to facilitate the German student visit to our school.  Total cost to the District for the total program not to exceed $2,700.00.  All costs to the District are included in the Board approved 2011-12 curriculum budget.

·        Listing of Temporary One-to-One Special Education Instructional Assistant Substitutes, with their assigned buildings and effective dates.  The rate of pay will be in accordance with the approved Substitute Instructional Assistant rate.

·        Fred Muschko as AM Crossing Guard at NAMS 6:45 AM to 7:45 AM daily at the rate of $10.50 per hour for the 2011-2012 school year.

·        Revision of the Middle School Students Taking High School Courses procedure to include the calculation of the course credits into a student’s high school GPA and class rank.

·        Adoption of Confidentiality Resolution

·        Authorize the administration to work with Public Financial Management and King, Spry, Herman, Freund & Faul, LLC for the issuance of General Obligation Bonds, Series of 2011 to refund a portion of the School District’s General Obligation Bonds – Series of 2006.

·        Authorize the administration to work with Public Financial Management and King, Spry, Herman, Freund & Faul, LLC for the issuance of General Obligation Bonds, Series A of 2011 to refund a portion of the School District’s General Obligation Bonds – Series of 2007.

·        Donation of art supplies from Mr. & Mrs. John Hutterer.  The approximate value of the donation is $800.00.

·        Bills for Payment.

·        Mr. Cory Fenstermaker as Northampton Area School District’s representative to the BAVTS Authority effective September 13, 2011.
