At the regular meeting of the Board of Education, the Board approved the following:

·         Leave of Absence, with pay from sick leave, for Lindsey beginning on or about May 15, 2013, through the end of the 2012-2013 school year.

·         Intermittent FMLA leave of absence, with no pay but with benefits, for Michele Orsulak, per Federal Government regulations, beginning December 14, 2012.

·         Unpaid leave of absence for Nancy Stover, beginning January 9, 2013.

·         Resignation of Glen Young, Biology Teacher and Grade 7-12 Science Department Coordinator, for the purpose of retirement, effective June 11, 2013, or the last teacher day of the 2012-2013 school year.

·         Extension of unpaid childrearing leave for Katherine Carney for the remainder of the 2012-2013 school year.

·         Resignation of A. Louise Christman, Grade 3 Special Education Teacher, for the purpose of retirement, effective June 11, 2013, or the last teacher day of the 2012-2013 school year.

·         Resignation of Jane Hoh, Grade 3 Teacher, for the purpose of super-annuated retirement, effective June 11, 2013, or the last teacher day of the 2012-2013 school year.

·         Resignation of Susan Toolan, Grade 2 Teacher, for the purpose of super-annuated retirement, effective June 11, 2013, or the last teacher day of the 2012-2013 school year.

·         Additions and deletions to the Substitute Listing for the 2012-2013 school year.

·         Dana Werkheiser, a paid Childbearing Leave beginning on or about March 22, 2013, through April 30, 2013, and an FMLA Childrearing Leave, with no pay, but with benefits, per Federal Government Regulations, for the period beginning on May 1, 2013, through the end of the 2012-2013 school year.

·         The following additions to the District Volunteer Master Listing for the 2012-2013 school year:

·         Resignation of William Wilde, Physics Teacher, for the purpose of super-annuated retirement, effective June 11, 2013, or the last teacher day of the 2012-2013 school year.

·         Resignation of Joseph Zettlemoyer, Physics and Science Teacher, for the purpose of retirement, effective June 11, 2013, or the last teacher day of the 2012-2013 school year.

·         Assistant Superintendent is hereby notified pursuant to the provisions of Section 1077 of the School Code that the School Board intends to negotiate a renewal contract with the Assistant Superintendent or consider other candidates for the position.

·         Revised January 23, 2013, mentor list including the one new mentor and payment for the 2012-2013 school year.

·         The following list of staff members and their compensation for Intramural programs at Moore Elementary for the 2012-2013 school year.

·         Continuation of Daniel Snyder, Long Term Substitute Guidance Counselor at the Middle School, effective February 1, 2013, through the end of the 2012-2013 school year, with benefits.

·         Meredith Foster, Short Term Substitute Grade 2 Elementary Teacher at Moore Elementary, effective January 29, 2013, through on or about April 29, 2013, at the per diem rate of $125.00, without benefits.

·         Constantine (Gus) Belaires, Girls Soccer Head Coach, with over 5 years of experience, for a total compensation of $7,606.00, with no benefits, pursuant to the current Collective Bargaining Agreement between NASD and NAEA effective for          the 2013-2014 school year.

·         Roster of instructors and stipends for the Community Education Program for the 2012-2013 school year.

·         John LaBarre, Girls Soccer Assistant Coach, with over 5 years of experience, for a total compensation of $2,092.00, with no benefits, pursuant to the current Collective Bargaining Agreement between NASD and NAEA effective for the 2013-2014 school year.

·         Amanda Thrash, Reading Instructional Assistant, effective January 29, 2013.  Her rate of pay will be $10.63 per hour, with benefits, in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement between NASD and ESPA.

·         Contract for Danielle Mort to provide Homebound Instruction for a Northampton Area School District student at a cost not to exceed $3,300.00.

·         Stephen Seier, High School Principal, on a date to be determined.  All qualifying certificates and clearances will need to be provided as required by law.  Annual salary will be $110,000.00, pro rated with benefits in accordance with the Act 93 Agreement.

·         NASD District Level Comprehensive Plan dated July 1, 2013, through June 30, 2016.

·         Vendor(s) for fuel oil for the 2013-2014 school year as to be recommended by the Northampton/Monroe/Pike County Joint Purchasing Board and to be approved by the         Colonial Intermediate Unit 20 Board of Directors at their March 2013 regularly scheduled meeting.

·         Tax Exonerations.

·         Disposal of obsolete equipment and components by sale to Responsible Recycling Services, LLC for $1,050.00.

·         Treasurer’s Report.

·         Bills for Payment.

·         Expulsion Hearing Waiver for High School student number 2012-12.

·         Elect Ms. Pamela Colton, Bangor Area School District, to fill the vacancy for the unexpired term of Mr. Bruce Cameron on the Northampton Community College Board of Trustees through June 30, 2018.

·         Expulsion Hearing Waiver for High School student number 2012-14.
