At the regular meeting of the Board of
Education, the Board approved the following:
Current special education teachers
to complete the IEP process including the writing and holding of the IEP meeting
for the summer 2013.
Posting for the positions of
current teachers for Extended School Year (ESY) and Chapter 15/Section 504
Services for the summer 2013, with the number of teachers actually needed to be
Resignation of Theresa Barrall,
12-Month Secretary, for the purpose of retirement, effective the end of the day
October 1, 2013.
Resignation of Janice Tanzola,
12-Month Head Secretary, for the purpose of super-annuated retirement, effective
the end of the day September 20, 2013.
Special Education Teacher position
of .5 Life Skills Support/.5 Learning Support teacher.
Additions and deletions to the
Substitute Listing for the 2012-2013 school year.
Resignation of Jerry Batcha as
Mock Trial Advisor, effective at the end of the 2012-2013 school year.

Revised job descriptions for the
following positions: Benefits Specialist and Technology Assistant, effective
April 23, 2013.
Termination of Dale Danner,
Maintenance Mechanic, effective the end of the day, May 31, 2013.

- Paid childbearing leave
for Courtney Schnyderite, from accumulated sick and personal leave, beginning
on or about September 9, 2013, through October 8, 2013, a FMLA childrearing
leave, with no pay, but with benefits, per Federal Government regulations, for
the period beginning October 9, 2013, through January 15, 2014, and an unpaid
childrearing leave, with no benefits, beginning January 16, 2014, through the
end of the first semester of the 2013-2014 school year.
- Listing of Student
Summer Help, along with their compensation rate of $7.25 per hour effective
for the summer of 2013. The listing denotes those students who are pending
receipt of acceptable clearances.
- Ms. Levin and Officer
Williams to accompany ten (10) students in the overnight debriefing of Every
15 Minutes at the Days Inn, Allentown, PA, on May 2, 2013. Total cost to the
District is approximately $951.25. All costs to the District are included in
the Board approved 2012-2013 District budget.
- Accept approval from PDE
for PlanCon Part K: Project Refinancing for the 2013 Refunding Issue, which
partially refunded the 2003 Series Bond.
- PlanCon Part H, “Project
Financing” and give approval to submit PlanCon Part H to the Pennsylvania
Department of Education for approval.
- Award the bid for the
Mechanical Construction Contract for the George Wolf Elementary School-Chiller
Replacement Project to ASL Refrigeration, of Catasauqua, PA, in the amount of
- Total base audit fee of
$27,400 with Gorman & Associates, Northampton, to provide Auditing Services
for the 2012-13 fiscal year of the General Fund and Public Library.
- Additional ACCESS monies
in an amount not to exceed $22,000.00 to cover the cost of Invo HealthCare
Associates, Inc., for Speech and Language services at Colonel John Siegfried
