At the regular meeting of the Board of
Education, the Board approved the following:
- The following Support
Staff transfer effective with the 2013-2014 school year:
Julie Benner – Special Ed IA – Middle School to: Special Ed IA –
- Listing of Volunteer
Athletic Coaches for the 2013-2014 school year.
- Extension of unpaid
childrearing leave for Bethany Valimont beginning August 19, 2013, through
October 11, 2013.
- Continue the Community
Education Program and provide a stipend of $3,746.00 for Margaret Schell to
continue as the program coordinator for the 2013-14 school year.
- Ronald Miller, Police
Officer, effective August 1, 2013, through June 30, 2014. His salary will be
$38,000.00, with Vision and Dental benefits.
- List of head coaches and
assistant coaches with their designated payments, effective July 1, 2013,
through June 30, 2014, for the appropriate sport season.
- Authorize the President
and Secretary of the School Board to sign the Access Easement entered into
between the Northampton Area School District and the Borough of Northampton
for the Middle School Project with respect to the sanitary and storm sewers
being constructed on the School District property as depicted on the Land
Development Plan last revised May 20, 2013, and prepared by Terraform
- Authorize the President
and Secretary of the School Board to sign the Subdivision, Land Development,
and Improvements Agreement entered into between the Northampton Area School
District and the Borough of Northampton for the Middle School Project with
respect to all Improvements as referenced in the Agreement.
- Resolution which
authorizes the purchase by the Northampton Area School District of property
known as 1601 Lincoln Avenue, Northampton, PA 18067 for a purchase price of
$109,900.00, pursuant to the terms and conditions of an Agreement of Sale.
- Letter of Agreement
between Northampton Area School District and Community Services for Children,
Inc., for the purpose of providing: 1) Complete Preschool Program, modeled
after Head Start Preschool Programs, for twenty (20) Northampton Area School
District students at George Wolf Elementary School throughout the 2013-2014
school year at a cost of $180,000.00. The funding, in total, is entirely paid
for and provided through the Keystones to Opportunity/Striving Readers grant.
- Treasurer’s Report.
- Retirement Plan
Compliance and Administrative Services Agreement with TSA Consulting Group,
Inc., for an additional five (5) year period from August 1, 2013, through July
- Tax Exonerations.
- Bills for Payment.
