At the regular meeting of the Board of
Education, the Board approved the following:
- Professional status and
tenure for the following teachers who have completed three years of teaching
and have received six satisfactory evaluations:
Allabach Courtney Schnyderite
Pagano Middle School
Wood Washington’s Crossing
- Resignation of Julie
Benner as Special Education Instructional Assistant effective August 23, 2013.
- Resignation of Meghan
Starr as School Psychologist effective August 30, 2013, or when a suitable
replacement has been found, but no later than October 30, 2013.
- Master District
Volunteer Listing for the 2013-2014 school year.
- Additions and deletions
to the Substitute Listing for the 2013-2014 school year.
- Revised Athletic Event
Staff for the 2013-2014 school year, effective July 1, 2013, through June 30,
- Revised Traffic Duty
Monitors and hourly rates, at all District buildings, effective August 26,
2013, until June 2, 2014, or the last regular student school day.
- Ann Harrington,
Substitute After-School Detention Monitor at the High School, effective for
the 2013-2014 school year (August through the end of the academic year in
June), at an hourly rate of $50.15. No additional benefits will be provided.
- Roster of instructors
and stipends for the 2013-2014 Community Education Program.
- Attendance of Board
Member, Dr. Michael Baird, at the PASA/PSBA School Leadership Conference in
Hershey, Pennsylvania, October 15-18, 2013, at an estimated cost of $978.94.
- The following
extra-curricular staff member and stipend for the 2013-2014 school year:
Crystal Becker – Newspaper Advisor at Middle School - $1,811.00
- The mentor list
including the mentors and payment for the 2013-2014 school year.
- Bills for Payment.
- Letter of Agreement
between the Northampton Area School District and Colonial Intermediate Unit 20
for the purpose of providing remedial instruction in reading and math to
non-proficient students in qualifying non-public schools at a cost of: 1)
$13,642.20 for instruction, 2) $100.00 for parent involvement programming, and
3) a Colonial IU20 administrative service fee at 3% of the total. The entire
cost for these services is covered through the 2013-2014 Title I grant.
- Authorize the School
Board Secretary to cast the Northampton Area School District’s Board of School
Directors vote for the following PSBA Officers in accordance with the PSBA
voting requirements: William S. LaCoff as President-elect; Charles H.
Ballard as Vice President; Norman G. Hasbrouk as Treasurer; and Robert M.
Schwartz as At-Large Representative (East).
- Elect Mr. John J.
Squarcia, Easton Area School District, to fill the vacancy for the unexpired
term of Dr. Brooks Betts on the Northampton Community College Board of
Trustees through June 30, 2014.
