At the regular meeting of the Board of
Education, the Board approved the following:
- Revised listing of
Volunteer Athletic Coaches for the 2014-2015 school year.
- Resignation of Kristin
Sage Meeker, Instructional Assistant, for the purpose of super-annuated
retirement, effective August 29, 2014.
- Ronia Jarrah, a paid
childbearing leave of absence from on or about November 7, 2014, through
January 5, 2015, an unpaid FMLA childrearing leave, with benefits, per Federal
Government regulations beginning January 6, 2015, through April 1, 2015, and
an unpaid childrearing leave, without benefits, beginning April 7, 2015,
through the end of the 2014-2015 school year.
The following voluntary Support Staff transfer effective with the
2014-2015 school year:
Special Ed IA Ė Moore Instructional Asst. Ė High School
- Additions and deletions
to the Substitute Listing for the 2014-2015 school year.
- Voluntary transfer of
Lori Yorke from Cafeteria Monitor to Special Education Instructional Assistant
at Moore Elementary, effective retroactive to August 18, 2014, with benefits.
- Voluntary transfer of
Lynn Tepes from Cafeteria Monitor to Special Education Instructional Assistant
at Siegfried Elementary, effective retroactive to August 18, 2014, with
- Revised listing of
Traffic Duty Monitors and hourly rates, effective August 25, 2014, through the
end of the 2014-2015 school year.
- All current professional
teaching staff employees as potential Homebound Instructors, effective
August 25, 2014, through the last day of the 2014-2015 school year. In
accordance with the current Collective Bargaining Agreement, between NASD and
NAEA the hourly rate of pay for homebound instruction is:
Bachelorís Degree - $45.69 per hour Masterís Degree - $50.15 per
following athletic coaching staff members and stipends for the 2014-2015
Philip Hall - Assistant Basketball Coach - $4,274.00 (80% of 90%)
Andrew Snyder - Assistant Field Hockey Coach - $1,257.49 (85% of
Jason Winchenbach - Assistant Boys Volleyball Coach - $2,004.00 (90%
- Emily Reightler, TPE
Health and Physical Education Teacher at the High School, effective
retroactive to August 25, 2014. Her salary will be $46,050.00, with benefits,
based on a Bachelorís degree and Step 1, per the Collective Bargaining
Agreement between NASD and NAEA.
Eric Bauer, Tuesday through
Saturday Custodian at Siegfried Elementary, effective August 26, 2014.
His rate of pay will be $17.99 per hour, 85% of the current hourly rate, with
benefits, in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement
between NASD and Teamsters Local 773.
Yessen, LTS Elementary Teacher at George Wolf Elementary, effective retroactive
to August 25, 2014, for the 2014-2015 school year. Her salary will be
$49,198.00, with benefits, based on a Masterís degree and Step 1, per the
Collective Bargaining Agreement between NASD and NAEA.
- Karen Koplin, Cafeteria
Monitor at Siegfried Elementary, effective retroactive to
August 25, 2014. Her current rate of pay will
be $10.77 per hour, no benefits, in accordance with the Collective Bargaining
Agreement between NASD and ESPA. This amount is to be revised after
negotiations have concluded.
- Athletic Event Staff for
the 2014-2015 school year, effective August 1, 2014, through June 30, 2015.
- Revised attachment to
Policy 204.2 Ė Educational Trip Request Form Ė effective August 26, 2014.
- Textbook Adoptions for
the 2014-2015 School Year for a total district cost of $269,398.50 and a KtO
Grant Funding of $142,940.67. All textbook costs are included in the Board
approved curriculum budget.
- Revised Curricula in
Elementary Reading, and Writing 3-5, Elementary Math 6, Elementary Science
K-6, Earth and Space Science 8, Music and Media Integration 8, Physical
Science 9, and Computer-Aided Drawing 9-12.
- Treasurerís Report.
- Law Enforcement
Liability Insurance coverage by Scottsdale Insurance Company at a cost of
$6,766.00 for the period of September 5, 2014, to September 5, 2015.
- Settlement Agreement and
Release for a special education student.
- Tax Exonerations.
- Bills for Payment.
- Attendance of Board
Members, Mr. Darin Arthofer, Dr. Michael Baird, and Mr.
Chuck Longacre, at the PASA/PSBA School
Leadership Conference in Hershey, Pennsylvania, from October 21, 2014, through
October 24, 2014, at an estimated cost of $3,235.89.
