At the regular meeting of the Board of
Education, the Board approved the following:
status and tenure for the following teacher who has completed three years of
teaching and has received six satisfactory evaluations:
Middle School - Kendell Milia
- Resignation of Patricia
Jones, English Teacher, for the purpose of retirement, effective June 1, 2015,
or the last teacher day of the 2014-2015 school year.
of Stephanie Wuchter, Custodian, for the purpose of super-annuated retirement,
effective January 8, 2015.
- Resignation of Matthew
Frailey as Assistant Wrestling Coach, effective August 21, 2014.
- Master District
Volunteer Listing for the 2014-2015 school year.
- Additions and deletions
to the Substitute Listing for the 2014-2015 school year.
- Attendance of Ms.
Kimberly Levin, High School Assistant Principal, at the 2014 PAESSP Conference
in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on October 19, 2014, through October 21, 2014, at
an approximate cost of $963.98. The amount is included the 2014-2015 Board
approved curriculum budget.
- Contract between the
Northampton Area School District and Ms. Andra Groller as the Diversified
Occupations Program Supervisor for the 2014-2015 school year. Ms. Groller’s
stipend will not exceed $12,000.00 for the 2014-2015 school year. The
contract will terminate on June 30, 2015.
Mr. Jason Winchenbach, Ms. Allison
Fiorini, Ms. Melissa Davis, and Mr. Matthew Greenplate to visit Lake Placid, New
York, along with forty (40) students, to ski
at Whiteface Mountain on January 30, 31, and February 1, 2015. There will be no
cost to the District.
- The following
extra-curricular staff members and stipends for the 2014-2015 school year:
Emily Reinsmith – Show Stoppers Chorus Co-Advisor - $424.50
Genevieve Wilde – Show Stoppers Chorus Co-Advisor - $424.50
- Kristen Goch, Cafeteria
Monitor at Moore Elementary, effective retroactive to
September 3, 2014. Her current rate of pay
will be $10.77 per hour, no benefits, in accordance with the Collective
Bargaining Agreement between NASD and ESPA. This amount is to be revised
after negotiations have concluded.
Award the bid for the Used
2011 Crawler 60 to All Access Equipment, LCC, of Wilmington, Massachusetts, at
a cost of $74,230 which includes delivery, training and a one (1) year
Proclamation and naming the
Northampton Area School District Tennis Courts in recognition of Eileen
Carbone who devoted 40 years of her life to the Northampton Area School
District. Eileen Carbone was a teacher in the District for 35 years from
1963-1998 and Head Girl's Tennis Coach for 40 years from 1974-2013.
- Contract with St. Luke’s
Physician Group to serve as the District’s provider for medical services at an
annual rate of $10,000.00, and to provide sports physicals at a cost to
the athlete of $25.00 per physical.
- Bills for Payment.
- Letter of Agreement
between the Northampton Area School District and Colonial Intermediate Unit 20
for the purpose of providing 1) remedial instruction in reading and math to
non-proficient students in qualifying non-public schools at a cost of: 1)
$21,004.70 for instruction, 2) $212.43 for parent involvement programming,
and 3) Colonial IU20 administrative service fee at 3% of the total. These
costs for the Non-Public School services are covered through the 2014-2015
Title I grant.
The Volunteer Club to organize and
meet under the direction of Mrs. Christina Thrash, Mrs. Rebecca Wagner, and Mrs.
Genevieve Wilde at no expense to the District.
A $2,000.00 donation to
Northampton Area School District from the Northampton Area Konkrete Kids
Educational Foundation for the purpose of purchasing four (4) document cameras
for the four (4) designated school district teachers.
