At the regular meeting of the Board of Education, the Board approved the following:

·       Resignation of Kerry Haydt, Custodian, for the purpose of super-annuated retirement, effective June 30, 2015.

·       Resignation of Mary Elizabeth Sisko, English Teacher, for the purpose of retirement, effective June 2, 2015, or the last teacher day of the 2014-2015 school year.           

·       Resignation of JoAnn Marzen, Mathematics Teacher, for the purpose of super-annuated retirement, effective June 2, 2015, or the last teacher day of the         2014-20145 school year.

·       Resignation of Joseph Sinkovich as Assistant Football Coach, effective December 8, 2014.

·       Voluntary transfer of Rita Hanzl from Cafeteria Monitor at the High School to Cafeteria Monitor at Siegfried Elementary, effective on or about December 16, 2014.

·       Re-assignment of Carrie Beleno to sixth grade Mathematics teacher, effective on or about January 16, 2015, for the second semester of the 2014-15 school year.

·       Additions and deletions to the Substitute Listing for the 2014-2015 school year.

·       The following addition to the District Volunteer Master Listing for the 2014-2015 school year:

·       Cassandra Herr an unpaid FMLA childrearing leave, with benefits, per Federal Government regulations beginning January 5, 2015, through February 13, 2015.

·       LeRoy Hummel, an unpaid FMLA leave of absence, with benefits, for medical reasons beginning December 2, 2014, through December 15, 2014, a paid FMLA leave of absence, with benefits, beginning December 16, 2014, through January 9, 2015, an unpaid FMLA leave, with benefits, beginning January 12, 2015, through January 26, 2015, per Federal Government regulations, and an unpaid leave, with benefits, beginning January 27, 2015, through June 16, 2015.

·       The revised listing of Traffic Duty Monitors and hourly rates, effective for the 2014-2015 school year.

·       The Mentor/Inductee REVISED List for the 2014-2015 School Year inclu ding the mentors and stipend payment for the 2014-2015 school year.

·       Patricia Gaetaniello, Information Systems Coordinator, effective on or about January 16, 2015.  Her annual salary will be $65,000.00, pro-rated with benefits, in accordance with the Act 93 Agreement.

·       Michael Bankes, Supervisor of Network and Audio Visual Systems, effective on or about February 6, 2015, at an annual pro-rated salary of $68,387.56, with benefits, and in accordance with the Act 93 Agreement.

·       The following additions to the Athletic Event Staff for the 2014-2015 school year:

·       Katherine Gotwols, LTS Spanish Teacher at the High School, effective on or about January 14, 2015, through the remainder of the 2014-2015 school year.  Her salary will be $49,198.00, pro-rated, without benefits, based on a Master’s degree and Step1, per the Collective Bargaining Agreement between NASD and NAEA.

·       Kelsey Morrison, STS Special Education Teacher at the Middle School, effective on or about March 4, 2015, through the remainder of the 2014-2015 school year.  Her salary will be $125.00, per day, without benefits, as per the Substitute Professional pay schedule. 

·       MaryJo Saylor, Cafeteria Monitor at the High School, effective December 16, 2014.  Her salary will be $11.02 per hour, 80% of the position rate, without benefits, in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement between NASD and ESPA.

·       Tanya Lamparter, 10-Month Attendance Secretary at the High School, effective December 16, 2014.

      Her salary will be $15.69 per hour, 80% of the position rate, with benefits, in accordance with the

      Collective Bargaining Agreement between NASD and NAESPA.

·       Adam Bastidas, Boys Soccer Head Coach, for a total compensation of $6,596.00 with no benefits, pursuant to the current Collective Bargaining Agreement between NASD and NAEA, effective for the 2015-2016 school year.

·       Chad Friend, Boys Soccer Assistant Coach, with 1 year of experience, for a total compensation of $1,921.05, with no benefits, pursuant to the current Collective Bargaining Agreement between NASD and NAEA, effective for the 2015-2016 school year.

·       Adoption of the following policies, effective December 16, 2014: 102 - Educational Goals, 103 - Nondiscrimination in School and Classroom Practices, 104 - Nondiscrimination in Employment and Contract Practices, 247 - Hazing, 702 - Gifts, Grants, Donations and Scholarships.

·       Textbook Adoptions for the 2014-2015 School Year for a total District cost of $167,989.10 and a KtO Grant Funding of $34,209.85.  All textbook costs are included in the Board approved curriculum budget.

·       2015-2016 Program of Studies.

            A.  $490,144 for Inventory and $187,465 for PrePaid Expenses as Nonspendable                                           Fund Balance Reserves.

            B.   $1,847,678 for future PSERS rate increases, $1,035,394 for the new Middle

                   School, $1,550,000 Facility Capital Improvements, and $64,595 for OPEB

                   Obligations as Committed Fund Balance Reserves.
