At the regular meeting of the Board of
Education, the Board approved the following:
Voluntary transfer of April Schaffer from
Floating Custodian to Third Shift Custodian at the Middle School, effective on
or about October 13, 2015.
Resignation of Donald Siegfried, Custodian,
for the purpose of super-annuated retirement, effective January 15, 2016.
Additions and deletions to the Substitute
Listing for the 2015-2016 school year.
Revised Master District Volunteer List for the
2015-2016 school year.
Julie Poniktera, Matthew Trapp and April
Ziegler, retroactively to September 15, 2015, as Short Term Middle School
Substitute Teachers, for the 2015-2016 school year. Their per diem rate will
be $125.00, per the Substitute Professional pay schedule, no
following list of staff members and their compensation for the Intramural
programs at Lehigh Elementary for the 2015-2016 school year:
Ms. Anita Mateyak and Mr. James
Chuss, to accompany ten (10) FBLA student members to the PA FBLA Leadership
Workshop in State College, Pennsylvania, on October 25 & 26, 2015. Total cost
to the District will not exceed $310.00. All costs to the District are included
in the Board approved 2015-2016 Curriculum budget.
The following athletic coaching
staff member and stipend for the 2015-2016 school year:
Todd Lerch – Assistant Boys & Girls Swim Coach - $1,925.00
(80% of 50%)
Larry Hein, Floating Custodian,
effective October 13, 2015. His rate of pay will be $18.40 per hour, 85% of the
current hourly rate, with benefits, in accordance with the Collective Bargaining
Agreement between NASD and Teamsters Local 773.
of Ms. Genevieve Wilde at the Ecology Project International Research and
Education Fellowship Study in Baja, Mexico, from March 5 through March 12, 2016,
at an approximate District cost of $500.00 for substitute coverage.
Contract between the Northampton
Area School District and Mr. Paul Buechle as a Psychoeducational Evaluator
effective October 13, 2015. The contract will terminate on June 30, 2016. Mr.
Buechle will be paid $575.00 per completed evaluation, plus mileage. The
maximum allotment for this contract is $15,000. This amount is included in the
Board approved Psychological Services 2015-2016 budget.
Adoption of the following policies, effective
October 13, 2015: 802 - School Organization, 803 - School Calendar, 810.6 -
Bus Conduct and Safety Code, 811 - Bonding, and 904 - Public Attendance at
Annual service agreement with AssetWorks,
Inc., for database application service, support and maintenance at a cost of
$1,400 for the period October 1, 2015, through September 30, 2016.
Administration to prepare and solicit annual
bids for the following services and supplies: Maintenance/Custodian Supplies,
Instructional/General Supplies, Athletic Supplies,
Gasoline/Diesel, and Fuel Oil/Natural Gas for the FY2016-17.
Berkheimer OneSource, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania,
to prepare and mail the homestead applications on behalf of Northampton Area
School District in accordance with Act 72 of 2004 and Act 1 of 2006 at a rate
Bills for Payment.
Attendance of Board Members, Dr. Michael Baird
and Mr. Chuck Longacre, at the PASA/PSBA School Leadership Conference in
Hershey, Pennsylvania, from October 13, 2015, through October 16, 2015, at an
estimated cost of $1,878.48.
Donated use of the Middle School and High
School cafeterias and gymnasiums by the Northampton Area School District for
the Dakota C. Galusha Memorial Fund Eighth Annual Basketball Tournament on
March 4-6, 2016.
