At the regular meeting of the Board of Education, the Board approved the following:
∑ Resignation of Susan Marshall, Reading Specialist, for the purpose of superannuated retirement, effective June 9, 2016, or the last teacher day of the 2015-2016 school year.
∑ Resignation of Melissa Werkheiser, Short Term Substitute Special Education, Teacher, effective March 23, 2016.
∑ Resignation of Dorothy Kaas, ESL Teacher, for the purpose of superannuated retirement, effective June 9, 2016, or the last teacher day of the 2015-2016 school year.
∑ Additions and deletions to the Substitute Listing for the 2015-2016 school year.
∑ Resignation of Lindsey Santanasto as Yearbook Editorial and Business Advisor, effective at the end of the 2015-2016 school year.
∑ Revised Master District Volunteer List for the 2015-2016 school year.
∑ Karissa Hantz, Short Term Substitute Special Education Teacher at Franklin Elementary, effective retroactive to March 29, 2016, through the remainder of the 2015-2016 school year, at the daily rate of $125.00, no benefits.†
∑ Dr. Kathleen E. Ott, Mrs. Krista Ames, Mrs. Alyza Commareri, and Mrs. Paula Ulrich to attend the Pennsylvania Literacy Conference in Hershey, PA, on June 21, 22, & 23, 2016.† The cost to the District will not exceed $354.24.
∑ Camp Invention and Invention Project Summer Enrichment Programs which will be held from June 27 through June 30, 2016, at the Siegfried Elementary School and the Northampton Area Middle School.† Student cost for the four day summer STEM activities programs is $140.00 for 3-5 and $175.00 for 6-8 grade students.† These reduced prices have been made possible by a contribution from the Northampton Konkrete Kids Educational Foundation.† Also approve listed staff members who will be paid directly by Camp Invention.† There is no cost to the District for these programs.
∑ Treasurerís Report.
∑ Bids for Paper and Janitorial Supplies, Bid No. NMPCJPB-DP/JS-2016-2017, in the amount of $113,023.61 as awarded by the Northampton/Monroe/Pike County Joint Purchasing Board.
∑ Renewal agreement to the standard contract with Aramark Educational Services, LLC to provide foodservice management for the 2016-2017 school year.
∑ 2015-2016 Budget Transfers.
∑ Bills for Payment.
∑ Robert J. Yanders as the designated agent of Northampton Area School District to execute the required documents for reimbursement under the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance ACT (Public Law 93-288 as amended by Public Law 100-707).
∑ Revised 2016-2017 school calendar.
∑ Dr. Michael Baird to serve as the Northampton Area School District representative to the CIU 20 Board of Directors to serve a three-year term beginning July 1, 2016, through June 30, 2019.
∑ Revised school calendar for the 2015-16 school year.
∑ AAC evaluation for a student with special needs not to exceed $650.00, which amount is included in the Board approved Special Education budget.
∑ Use of the Amazon Trade-In Program to provide Amazon credit for use by the Special Education Department to purchase items to be utilized by students with disabilities.†††††††††
∑ Expulsion Hearing Waiver for Middle School student number 2015-07.
