At the regular meeting of the Board of Education, the Board approved the following:

       Resignation of Valarie Marks, Grade 5 Teacher at Siegfried Elementary for the purpose of retirement, effective June 9, 2016.

       Resignation of Andrea Wasilko as Senior Class Advisor and Student Council Advisor, effective at the end of the 2015-2016 school year.

       Resignation of Scott Rehrig, School Police Officer, effective June 30, 2016.

       Kristin Chevez, a paid childbearing/childrearing leave of absence, beginning August 22, 2016, through September 7, 2016, an unpaid FMLA childrearing leave, with insurance, beginning September 8, 2016, through December 5, 2016, as per Federal Government regulations, and an unpaid childrearing leave, beginning December 6, 2016, through on or about June 2, 2017, no insurance.

       Stefani Fink, a paid childbearing leave of absence, beginning August 22, 2016, through September 27, 2016, and an unpaid FMLA childrearing leave, with insurance, beginning September 28, 2016, through November 1, 2016, as per Federal Government regulations.

       Revised Master District Volunteer List for the 2015-2016 school year.

       Additions and deletions to the Substitute Listing for the 2015-2016 school year.

       Professional and Support Staff transfers effective with the 2016-2017 school year.

       Revised listing of Student Summer Help, along with their compensation rate of $7.25 per hour effective for the summer of 2016.

       Act 93 Administrative Compensation Plan effective July 1, 2016, through June 30, 2020.

       Kimberly Mooney, High School Assistant Principal, effective July 1, 2016.  Salary will be $78,000, with benefits, and in accordance with the Act 93 Agreement.

       Kayla Bringenberg, TPE Mathematics Teacher at the Middle School, effective August 22, 2016.  Her salary will be $48,331.00, with benefits, based on a Bachelorís degree and Step 2, per the Collective Bargaining Agreement between NASD and NAEA.

       Jacqueline DiMartino, TPE Special Education Teacher at the High School, effective August 22, 2016.  Her salary will be $48,331.00, with benefits, based on a Bachelorís degree and Step 2, per the Collective Bargaining Agreement between NASD and NAEA.

       Catherine Espinal, Long Term Substitute Spanish Teacher, effective August 22, 2016, for the 2016-2017 school year.  Her salary will be $47,720.00, based on a Bachelorís degree and Step 1, with benefits.

       Andrea Vent, TPE Special Education Teacher at Lehigh Elementary School, effective August 22, 2016.  Her salary will be $47,720.00, with benefits, based on a Bachelorís degree and Step 1, per the Collective Bargaining Agreement between NASD and NAEA.

       Re-appointment of Krista Ames to Academic Literacy Coach.  Her salary will be $83,196 and will be funded by the Keystones to Opportunity Grant, effective August 22, 2016, until the last teacher day of the 2016-2017 school year.

       Brian Snyder, Tuesday through Saturday Custodian at the Middle School, effective June 14, 2016.  His rate of pay will be $18.40 per hour, 85% of the currently hourly rate, with benefits, in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement between NASD and Teamsters Local 773.

       Nicole Strain, TPE Library Science Teacher at George Wolf and Borough Elementary Schools, effective August 22, 2016.  Her salary will be $57,233.00, with benefits, based on a Masterís degree and Step 8, per the      Collective Bargaining Agreement between NASD and NAEA.

       Data conversion as of July 1, 2016, from SunGard/Performance Tracker to Sapphire K-12 at no cost to the District.

       Three (3) year chiller service agreement starting July 1, 2016, to June 30, 2019, with Elliott-Lewis of Bath, PA, at a cost of $49,945.00.

       Carbon Lehigh Intermediate Unit Student Driver Education Program Agreement.

       The following depositories for school funds for the 2016-2017 fiscal year:

                        Pennsylvania Local Government Investment Trust (PLGIT)

                        Pennsylvania School District Liquid Asset Fund (PSDLAF)

       The following Public Official Bonds through Willis of Pennsylvania, Inc., with Fidelity & Deposit Company of Maryland as the carrier, as follows:

    Assistant Board Secretary (Denise Vilkauskas), 1-year term, 7/1/16 - 6/30/17 - $25,000 limit Ė $88.00

    Board Treasurer (Matthew Sawarynski), 1-year term, 7/1/16 - 6/30/17 - $25,000 limit - $150.00           

       2015-2016 Budget Transfers.

       Alternate billing agreement for the Northampton Community College for the 2016-2017 fiscal year.

       Adopt the 2016-17 Final General Fund/Athletic Fund/& Food Services Budget with total revenues and expenditures listed below:

                        General Fund                  $98,900,985.00

                        Athletic Fund                  $     196,047.00

                        Food Services Fund        $  2,364,686.00

 

                        The General Fund budget is supported by an increase of 2.48% that equates to 1.24 mills                                       and the following tax levy:
