At the regular meeting of the Board of
Education, the Board approved the following:
- Resignation of Jessica
Finlayson as Assistant Boys Volleyball Coach, effective June 7, 2016.
- Unpaid leave of absence
for Eugene Hatcher, beginning May 25, 2016, through June 10, 2016.
of Carol O’Donnell, 12-Month Secretary, for the purpose of superannuated
retirement, effective July 29, 2016.
- Additions and deletions
to the Substitute List for the 2015-2016 school year.
- Revised Master District
Volunteer List for the 2015-16 school year.
- Revised list of teachers
and 1:1 Instructional Assistants to provide Extended School Year (ESY) and
Chapter 15/Section 504 Services for the Summer 2016.
- Ms. Melissa Davis, Mrs.
Leigh Zakutansky, and Mr. Jason Winchenbach to visit Ludlow, Vermont, along
with twenty-eight (28) students, to ski at Okemo Mountain Resort on February
3, 4, & 5, 2017. There will be no cost to the District.
- Attendance of Mrs.
Gretchen Troxell and Mrs. Jackie Grejda at the 2016 PA Community Transition
Conference in State College, PA, on July 20-22, 2016, at an approximate
District cost of $820.79. The amount is included in the 2016-2017 Board
approved curriculum budget.
- Joseph Provini, TPE
English Teacher at the Middle School, effective August 22, 2016. His salary
will be $48,331.00, with benefits, based on a Bachelor’s degree and Step 2,
per the Collective Bargaining Agreement between NASD and NAEA.
- Amy Grabfelder, Short
Term Substitute Elementary Teacher at George Wolf Elementary School, effective
August 22, 2016, for the first marking period of the 2016-2017 school year, at
the daily rate of $125.00, no benefits.
- Ricky Knecht, School
Police Officer, for a term beginning July 1, 2016, through June 30, 2019,
pending receipt of required documentation. His annual salary will be $38,000,
with benefits, as per contract.
- Continuation of the
Community Education Program, with Margaret Schell as Coordinator of the
Program at a stipend of $3,935.63, for the 2016-2017 school year.
of the following new policies, effective June 28, 2016:
Federal Fiscal Compliance, 626.1 - Travel Reimbursement - Federal Programs, and
renumbering of Policy 627 - Job Related Expenses.
of the following new policy, effective June 28, 2016: 827 - Conflict of
Interest, and renumbering of Policy 800 - Record Destruction.
Textbook Adoptions for the
2016-2017 School Year for a total district cost of $114,400.24. All textbook
costs are included in the Board approved curriculum budget.
Three (3) year service agreement
to Oliver Fire Protection of King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, with a 0% to test
and inspect the fire protection sprinkler systems at Franklin Elementary,
Colonel John Siegfried Elementary, Washington, and High School.
And a new annual fee for the new Middle School at the following costs:

the District’s emergency generators for the period of July 1, 2016, through
June 30, 2019, at the following rates:
