At the regular meeting of the Board of
Education, the Board approved the following:
Resignation of Timothy Carpency as Spring
Musical Instrumental Advisor, effective July 25, 2016.
Resignation of Scott Johnson as Assistant Boys
Basketball Coach, effective July 25, 2016.
Volunteer Athletic Coaches for the 2016-2017
Resignation of Kyla Kutz (Danner) as Color
Guard Instructor for the Middle School, effective August 1, 2016.
Resignation of Terry Miller, High School
Teacher, for the purpose of superannuated retirement, effective December 23,
Stipends for Athletic Events for the 2016-17
school year, effective July 1, 2016, through June 30, 2017.

Kara Kern, 1:1 Special Education Instructional
Assistant, to work with a Northampton Area School District student at Pleasant
Valley High School effective August 22, 2016. Her salary will be $11.55 per
hour, 80% of the position rate, with benefits, in accordance with the
Collective Bargaining Agreement between NASD and NAESPA.
Voluntary transfer of Edward Schoeneberger
from Middle Shift Custodian at the Middle School to Middle Shift Custodian at
the High School, effective on or about September 1, 2016, with no change in
Temporary transfer of LaRea Henninger from
Hall Monitor to Library Instructional Assistant at the Middle School,
effective August 16, 2016, through November 11, 2016, with no change in salary
Master Substitute Listing for the 2016-2017
Athletic Event Staff for the 2016-2017 school
year, effective August 1, 2016, through June 30, 2017.
Involuntary transfer of Pamela Romanishan to a
Kindergarten one-to-one instructional assistant position, building to be
determined. There is no change to rate of pay or benefits.
Elena Krupa, TPE Kindergarten Teacher at Moore
Elementary School, effective August 22, 2016. Her salary will be $52,686.00,
with benefits, based on a Masterís degree and Step 3, per the Collective
Bargaining Agreement between NASD and NAEA.
A five (5) year service contract with Otis
Elevator for the period of July 1, 2016, through June 30, 2021, at an annual
cost of $2,470.32.
Year #5 - Letter of Agreement
between Northampton Area School District and Community Services for Children,
Inc., for the purpose of providing: Preschool Program, modeled after Head Start
Preschool Programs, for twenty (20) Northampton Area School District students at
George Wolf Elementary School throughout the 2016-2017 school year at a cost of
$180,000.00. The funding, in total, is paid for and provided through the
Keystones to Opportunity/Striving Readers grant.
for Services between Community Services for Children, Inc., Head Start of the
Lehigh Valley and Northampton Area School District for 2016-2017 to implement a
Head Start Pre-K for twenty (20) Pre-K students residing in our District. There
is no cost to the District for this program.
ArbiterPay to pay athletic
officials at a cost to the District of $1.05 per check issued.
Bills for payment.

Elementary School Handbooks and the Individual Elementary Handbook Addenda for
the 2016-17 school year.
