At the regular meeting of the Board of Education, the Board approved the following:

          Revised list of Professional and Support Staff transfers effective with the 2017-2018 school year.

          Michael Moser a paid FMLA leave of absence beginning August 18, 2017, through August 22, 2017, and an unpaid FMLA leave of absence, beginning August 23, 2017, through October 6, 2017, with insurance, as per Federal Government regulations.

          Resignation of Melissa White, Special Education Instructional Assistant, effective August 15, 2017.

          Resignation of Kimberly James, Special Education Instructional Assistant, effective August 16, 2017.

          Bethany Valimont, an extension to her unpaid FMLA childrearing leave of absence, through October 31, 2017, with insurance, as per Federal Government regulations.

          Additions and deletions to the Substitute Listing for the 2017-2018 school year.

          Revised Master District Volunteer List for the 2017-18 school year.

          Revised list of 68-day Short-Term Substitute Teachers for the 2017-2018 school year.  The per diem rate will be $125.00, per the Substitute Professional pay schedule, no benefits.

          Rebecca Hoernle, PE Chemistry Teacher at the High School, effective on or before October 29, 2017.  Her salary will be $51,373.00, pro-rated, with benefits, based on a Bachelorís degree and Step 4, per the Collective Bargaining Agreement between NASD and NAEA.

          The following athletic coaching staff members and stipends for the 2017-2018 school year:

                         Robert Hahn - Assistant Boys Soccer Coach - $1,708.00

                         Adam OíHara - Assistant Girls Volleyball Coach -$1,500.00

          Voluntary transfer of Alyssa Silfies from Tuesday through Saturday Custodian at Moore Elementary to Middle Shift Custodian at the Middle School, effective retroactive to August 22, 2017, with no change in base salary, in accordance with the current Collective Bargaining Agreement.

          Traffic Duty Monitors and hourly rates, effective August 28, 2017, through the end of the 2017-2018 school year.

          Additions to the extra-curricular staff members and stipends for the 2017-2018 school year.

          Ronald Matika, Tuesday through Saturday Custodian at Siegfried Elementary School, effective retroactive to August 22, 2017.  His base rate of pay will be $19.26 per hour, 85% of the current hourly rate, with benefits, in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement between NASD and Teamsters Local 773.

          Kristi Wert, Third Shift Custodian at the High School, effective retroactive to August 22, 2017.  Her base rate of pay will be $19.26 per hour, 85% of the current hourly rate, with benefits, in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement between NASD and Teamsters Local 773.

          Donna Teklits to attend The Attendance/Child Accounting Professional Association annual conference on November 1-3, 2017, at a cost to the District of $919.95.

          Yvonne Bachert, Special Education Instructional Assistant at the Middle School, effective retroactive to August 28, 2017.  Her salary will be $12.07 per hour, with benefits, in accordance with the ESPA Agreement.

          Kelsey Himmelwright, 1:1 Special Education Instructional Assistant at the Middle School, effective retroactive to August 28, 2017.  Her salary will be $12.07 per hour, with benefits, in accordance with the ESPA Agreement.

          Stephanie Chlebove, TPE Kindergarten Teacher at Moore Elementary School, effective retroactive to August 28, 2017.  Her salary will be $49,540.00, with benefits, based on a Bachelorís degree and Step 1, per the Collective Bargaining Agreement between NASD and NAEA.

          Mark McConnell, Tuesday through Saturday Custodian at Moore Elementary School, effective August 29, 2017.  His base rate of pay will be $19.26 per hour, 85% of the current hourly rate, with benefits, in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement between NASD and Teamsters Local 773.

          Bridget King, Special Education Instructional Assistant at the Middle

          School, effective on or before September 11, 2017, pending receipt of proper documentation. Her salary will be $13.58 per hour, with benefits, in accordance with the ESPA Agreement.

          Helen Deegan, Short Term Substitute Physical Education Teacher at the High School, effective retroactive to August 28, 2017, through on or about November 1, 2017.  Continued employment is pending receipt of appropriate documentation.  Her salary will be $125.00 per day, no benefits.

          Memorandum of Understanding between the Northampton Area School District and the Northampton Area Educators Association for early morning classes at Northampton Area High School.

          Revised Curricula for Elementary, Middle School, and High School for the areas of Business/Technology, English, Learning Support, Math, Music, Social Studies, and World Language.

          Attendance of Board Member, Mr. Charles Longacre, at the 2017 PAGE Conference on November 16 and 17, 2017, at a cost of $579.18.

          Three (3) contracts associated with the required special education programming for a student with significant disabilities.  Costs related to these contracts are part of the Board approved District Special Education budget.
