At the Board Reorganization Meeting of the Board of Education, David Gogel was elected President of the Board and Chuck Frantz was elected Vice President for 2018.  All Board meetings will be held at the District Administration Building at 6:30 p.m. in 2017.

At the regular meeting of the Board of Education, the Board approved the following:

Rebecca Hoernle                    Security and Usher

       List of obsolete equipment and components by sale to TechnologyExchange for $973.

       A three (3) year extension for Trash Removal/Recycling services to Chrin Hauling, Inc., at a cost of $4,220.75 per month for the term of July 1, 2018, through June 30,             2021.

       Liberty Mutual as the Tax Collector Bond Insurer through Willis of Pennsylvania, Inc., from January 1, 2018, to December, 31, 2021, at a cost of $6,675.75 per year.

       Terry A. Leh as the Primary TCC voting delegate and Matthew Sawarynski as the Alternate TCC voting delegate for Northampton Area School District during the 2018 calendar year.

       The following Fund Balance amounts and classifications:

            A.  $302,664 for Inventory and $135,177 for PrePaid Expenses as Nonspendable  Fund Balance

                  Reserves.

            B.  $19,224 for Chromebook Reserve as Assigned Fund Balance Reserve.

            C.  $1,450,000 for Facility Capital Maintenance Projects, $400,000 for New Lehigh Elementary

                  Debt Funding, and $103,402 for OPEB Obligations as Committed Fund Balance Reserves.

       2017-2018 Budget Transfers.               

       Bills for Payment.

       A $1,145.97 donation to Northampton Area School District from the Northampton Area Konkrete Kids

      Educational Foundation for the purpose of purchasing additional Wi-Fi connections to support the

      District Project Pride Chromebook initiative.
