At the regular meeting of the Board of Education, the Board approved the following:

     Revised list of Professional and Support Staff transfers effective with the 2018-2019 school year.

     Resignation of Matthew Frailey from the positions of Social Studies Teacher, Team Leader, and Assistant to the Athletic Director, effective July 23, 2018.

     Resignation of Ryan Hercik from the position of Grade 4 Elementary Teacher at Siegfried Elementary, effective July 24, 2018.

     Resignation of Karen Koplin from the position of Cafeteria Monitor at Siegfried Elementary, effective July 24, 2018.

     Resignation of Krista Schrader from the position of District Office Secretary, effective August 10, 2018.

     Resignation of Edward Keichel from the position of LTS Special Education Teacher at the High School, effective July 26, 2018.

     Mariacruz Urtasun, a paid leave of absence beginning August 20, 2018, through September 7, 2018, and an unpaid leave of absence, beginning September 10, 2018, through on or about January 17, 2019, no insurance.

       Vilma Frederick, Special Education Instructional Assistant at the High           School, effective August 20, 2018.  Her salary will be $12.59 per hour, 80% of the position rate, with benefits, in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement between NASD and NAESPA.

       Julianne Daniels, Cafeteria Monitor at the Middle School, effective August 27, 2018, pending receipt of proper documentation.  Her salary will be $12.59 in     accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement between NASD and ESPA.

       Grant Whary, Instructional Assistant at the High School, effective August 20, 2018.  His salary will be $12.59 per hour, 80% of the position rate, with benefits, in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement between NASD and NAESPA.

       Stacy Clayton, Special Education Instructional Assistant at the High School, effective August 20, 2018.  Her salary will be $12.59 per hour, 80% of the position rate, with benefits, in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement between NASD and NAESPA.

       Naomi Rivera, Study Hall Instructional Assistant at the High School, effective August 20, 2018, pending receipt of proper documentation.  Her salary will be $12.59 per hour, 80% of the position rate, with benefits, in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement between NASD and NAESPA.

       Christine Jones, Special Education Instructional Assistant at the Middle School, effective August 20, 2018.  Her salary will be $12.59 per hour, 80% of the position rate, with benefits, in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement between NASD and NAESPA.

       68-day Short-Term Substitute Teachers for the 2018-2019 school year.  The per diem rate will be $125.00, per the Substitute Professional pay schedule, no benefits.

       Sandra Bischof, Long Term Substitute Special Education Instructional Assistant at Siegfried Elementary School, effective August 20, 2018, through on or about April 7, 2019.  Her salary will be $10.53 per hour.

       Jessica Englert, Long Term Substitute Special Education Teacher at the High School, effective August 20, 2018, for the 2018-2019 school year.  Her salary will be $52,355.00, based on a Bachelorís +15 degree and Step 1, with benefits.

       Kristin Olsen, TPE Kindergarten Teacher at Siegfried Elementary School, effective August 20, 2018.  Her salary will be $51,555.00, with benefits, based on a Bachelorís degree, Step 1; benefits in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement between Northampton Area School District and NAEA.

       Angelina Bender, TPE Kindergarten Teacher at George Wolf Elementary School, effective August 20, 2018.  Her salary will be $52,966.00, with benefits, based on a Bachelorís+15 degree and Step 1, per the Collective Bargaining Agreement between NASD and NAEA.

       Gina VanLuvanee, Long Term Substitute Kindergarten Teacher at George Wolf Elementary School, effective on or about September 23, 2018, through on or about February 12, 2019.  Her salary will be $274.23 per diem, based on a Bachelorís degree and Step 1.

       Department and District Coordinators and Middle School Subject Leadersí compensations, effective for the 2018-2019 school year.

       Victoria Kline, Long Term Substitute Grade 2 Elementary Teacher at Siegfried Elementary School, effective August 20, 2018, through on or about March 26, 2019.  Her salary will be $274.23 per diem, based on a Bachelorís degree and Step 1.

       Amy Wieller, Short Term Substitute Music Teacher at George Wolf Elementary School, effective on or about September 7, 2018, through December 21, 2018, pending receipt of all required documentation.  Her salary will be $125.00 per day, no benefits.

       Michael Renner, Security Officer, effective August 17, 2018.  His salary will be $20.96 per hour, in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement between NASD and NASA.

       Michael P. Schneider, current Special Education Teacher at the High School, Assistant to the Athletic Director, effective August 14, 2018, with a stipend of $3,100.00 per sports season, for fall, winter and spring.

       After School Detention Monitors and their reimbursement, effective for the 2018-2019 school year.

       Ryan Flecksteiner, Security Officer, effective August 17, 2018, pending receipt of proper documentation.  His salary will be $20.46 per hour, in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement between NASD and NASA.

       Sandra Bischof, Community Education Program Coordinator, effective August 14, 2018, with an annual compensation of $3,800.00.

        Mildred Gomez, Long Term Substitute Spanish Teacher at the High School, effective August 20 2018, for the first semester of the 2018-2019 school year.  Her salary will be $274.23 per diem, based on a Bachelorís degree and Step 1.

       The following individuals as School Crossing Guards, for a term beginning August 27, 2018, through the last student day of the 2018-2019 school year, pending receipt of required documentation:  Kermit Bachman and Jennifer Schwartz-OíBoyle. The rate of pay will be $11.25 per hour, no benefits, in accordance with each individual contract.

       Jacob Becker, TPE Social Studies Teacher at the Middle School, effective August 20, 2018.  His salary will be $51,555.00, with benefits, based on a Bachelorís degree and Step 1, per the Collective Bargaining Agreement between NASD and NAEA.

       Stephanie Szoke, PE English Learner (EL) Teacher at Siegfried Elementary School, effective August 20, 2018, pending receipt of proper documentation. Her salary will be $57,082.00, with benefits, based on a Bachelorís +15 degree and Step 11, per the Collective Bargaining Agreement between NASD and NAEA.

        Transfer of Melissa Pany, from Head Secretary at Lehigh Elementary School to District Office Secretary, effective date is to be determined, based on release from her present employer.  Her salary will be $21.79 per hour, with benefits, in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement between NASD and NAESPA.

       Angie Eaton, 12-Month Head Secretary for Lehigh Elementary, effective retroactive to August 9, 2018.  Her salary will be $18.59 per hour, 80% of the position rate, with benefits, in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement between NASD and NAESPA.

       Resolution which authorizes School Board Officers, or the School District Administration, or the School District Solicitor to file the tax exemption appeal with the Northampton County Board of Assessment Appeals for real estate property owned by the School District located at Dogwood Road, Lehigh Township, Northampton County, Tax Parcel #J3 3 10C 0516 (formerly owned by Alton D. Ziegenfuss), and take all actions and perform all work necessary to reclassify the property from taxable to tax exempt.

        Resolution which authorizes School Board Officers, or the School District Administration, or the School District Solicitor to file the tax exemption appeal with the Northampton County Board of Assessment Appeals for real estate property owned by the School District located at 784 Blue Mountain Drive, Lehigh Township, Northampton County, Tax Parcel #J3 3 11 0516 (formerly owned by Sherrie L. Hummel), and take all actions and perform all work necessary to reclassify the property from taxable to tax exempt. 

       Retirement Plan Compliance and Administrative Services Agreement with TSA Consulting Group, Inc.

       Settlement Agreement and Release for a special education student.

       Contract renewal with ďProvidastaff/EDUHealthcareĒ for Speech and Language services at Colonel John Siegfried Elementary School and/or other District buildings based on student needs at a cost not to exceed $70,560.00.

       Collaborative Agreement/Contract for Services between Community Services for Children, Inc., and Northampton Area School District for 2018-2019 to implement a new ĎPre-K Countsí Classroom at Franklin Elementary School and approve the existing ĎPre-K Countsí Classroom at Moore Elementary School.  There is no cost to the District.

       Collaborative Agreement/Contract for Services between Community Services for Children, Inc., Head Start of the Lehigh Valley and Northampton Area School District for 2018-2019 to implement two (2) Head Start Pre-Ks for forty (40) Pre-K students residing in our District. There is a $40,000 cost to the district, which comes from Northampton Area School District Title I funding for the two (2) Pre-K classrooms.

       Bills for Payment.

       Accept, with appreciation, the donation of a Conn trombone, a Selmer Bass Saxophone, a Selmer Tenor Saxophone, a Selmer Alto Saxophone, a Selmer Clarinet, a Conn Clarinet, a Rittershausen Piccolo, and a box of sheet music, totaling an approximate value of $5,000.00 to the Northampton Area School District from Mrs. Rae Unger in memory of her father, Ray Wahl, former retired Northampton Area School District teacher.
