At the regular meeting of the Board of Education, the Board approved the following:

·     Revised list of Professional and Support Staff transfers effective with the 2018-2019 school year.

·     District Master Volunteer List for the 2018-2019 school year.

·     Resignation of Grant Whary from the position of Instructional Assistant at the High School, effective August 13, 2018.

·     Resignation of Heather Royer from the position of Special Education Instructional Assistant at Siegfried Elementary School, effective at the end of the day August 20, 2018.

·     Resignation of Stephanie Smith from the position of 12-Month Special Education Secretary, effective at the end of the day on August 31, 2018.

·     Tina Carnathan-Marx, an extension to her unpaid FMLA leave of absence, through on or about August 30, 2018.

·     Additions and deletions to the Substitute Listing for the 2018-2019 school year.

·     Resignation of Ryan Flecksteiner from the position of District Security Officer, effective at the end of the day August 22, 2018.

·     Revised listing of 68-day Short Term Substitute Teachers for the 2018-2019 school year.  The per diem rate will be $125.00, per the Substitute Professional pay schedule, no benefits.

·     Additions to the Athletic Coaching Staff Members and Stipends list for the 2018-19 school year.

·     Extra-Curricular and Supplemental Positions for the 2018-2019 school year.

·     Listing of individuals to oversee Intramural Programs and the Weight Rooms for the 2018-2019 school year, effective August 1, 2018, through June 30, 2019.

·     Listing of Athletic Event Staff for the 2018-2019 school year, effective August 1, 2018, through June 30, 2019.

·     Listing of Traffic Duty Monitors and hourly rates, effective August 27, 2018, through the end of the 2018-2019 school year.

·     Listing of Stipends for Athletic Events for the 2018-19 school year, effective August 1, 2018, through June 30, 2019. 

·     Danielle Cortright, Special Education 1:1 Instructional Assistant at George Wolf Elementary School, effective retroactive to August 20, 2018.  Her salary will be $12.59 per hour, 80% of the position rate, with benefits, in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement between NASD and NAESPA.  The salary for this position will be paid through ACCESS funds.

·     Kelly Ruhe, Cafeteria Monitor at Siegfried Elementary School, effective August 27, 2018.  Her salary will be $12.59 in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement between NASD and ESPA. 

·     Nicole Teklits, Special Education 1:1 Instructional Assistant at the High School, effective on or about August 29, 2018.  Her salary will be $12.59 per hour, 80% of the position rate, with benefits, in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement between NASD and NAESPA. 

·     Brooke Magill, Special Education 1:1 Instructional Assistant at the Middle School, effective on or about September 10, 2018.  Her salary will be $12.59 per hour, 80% of the position rate, with benefits, in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement between NASD and NAESPA.

·     Brandon Lawton, Security Officer, effective on or about September 10, 2018, pending receipt of proper documentation.  His salary will be $20.46 per hour, in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement between NASD and NASA.

·     Karen Koplin, Special Education 1:1 Instructional Assistant at Siegfried Elementary, effective retroactive to August 27, 2018.  Her salary will be $15.74 per hour, 100% of the position rate, with benefits, in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement between NASD and NAESPA.

·     Revised Curricula for Elementary, Middle School, and High School for the areas of Business/Technology, Careers, English, Fine/Digital Arts, Math, Music, PE, Science, Social Studies, and World Language.

·     Notice of Public Hearing and authorize the District Administration to advertise the Act 34 Hearing scheduled for October 8, 2018 at 5:30 p.m. at the District High School Cafeteria and by Resolution authorize a “maximum project cost” of $35,788,356 and a “maximum building construction cost” of $25,535,000.

·     Treasurer’s Report.

·     Tax Exonerations/Changes.

·     Settlement of the real estate tax assessment appeal filed by Hills SMGC, LLC for fiscal  year effective July 1, 2017, and subsequent fiscal years  for Tax Parcel No. J6-10-2-0520 (located in Moore Township, Northampton County) pursuant to the Stipulation of Counsel and authorize the District’s Solicitor to execute the Stipulation of Counsel on behalf of the School District. The Stipulation is effective for School District real estate taxes due and payable on and after July 1, 2017.  The Administration is authorized to refund to Hills SMGC, LLC for any overpayment of school real estate taxes for the applicable year(s) of the settlement. 

·     Bills for Payment.

·     List of active First Student Drivers/Operators.

·       Behavioral Health Associates contract for students with special needs.

·       Memorandum of Understanding between the Northampton Area School District and the Borough of Northampton for manual operation of the traffic light at the intersection of PA Route 329 and Laubach Avenue.
